The 2020 Labour Government must rate as be New Zealand’s worst ever government; not only for its litany of failures, but for its arrogance and disrespect towards democracy. Fortunately, democracy prevailed and has yet again sent a message that power is in the hands of the electors not the elected.
New Zealand farmers feed 40 million people and the IPCC was crystal clear in the Paris Agreement – do not take any climate mitigation action that “threatens food production”. Our farmers produce food more efficiently, both environmentally and economically than any other country. It makes a mockery to penalise them.
Under the Albanese government, self-determination means the coming referendum, whose barely concealed intention is to divide Australia along lines of race. What we are experiencing here is cultural guerrilla warfare, the picking off one target after the other. Don’t believe it? Look no further that what has happened in New Zealand.
Here we get close to the core of the problem. The media have effectively set themselves above the communities they purport to serve. They are interested only in people who agree with them; the rest can be dismissed as deplorables, to use Hillary Clinton’s infamous term.
Treasury’s pre-election forecasts confirmed that Government spending exceeds revenue by more than what was forecast in the May 2023 Budget. Far too many commentators are concluding the increase is not too bad. Do not be fooled. The forecasts are not realistic. They are too optimistic.
We must follow the path of 20th century fighters against racism, such as Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela, by demanding equality. The aim must be now, as it was then, solidarity among all people, living in freedom without division by accident of birth.
Abandon net zero, abandon the emissions trading scheme, forget about agricultural greenhouse gases and rejoice that the increasing levels of carbon dioxide are making our plants grow better and making us all more prosperous.
Make no mistake the outcome of the forthcoming General election will define for the foreseeable future our Nation, our democracy, our freedoms, and the Rule of Law. No event will prove to be more important in our history.
For the first time ever, Peters has announced they will not support a Labour government and, if NZ First are there with 5 percent of the vote or more, the chances of Labour-Greens-TPM having enough seats to form a government are very slim.

If the Supreme Court’s stance is confirmed in a case where such pronouncements are necessary, tikanga will apply generally within the common law of New Zealand. But “tikanga” cannot be the “first” law - because it is not “law” at all.
